How to install Kodak EasyShare software on Windows
- Verify that your PC meets the minimum system requirements. NOTE: APPLE QUICKTIME Player is required for some software features.
- Disconnect all accessory devices from your computer (camera dock card reader, digital camera printer dock, photo printer, etc.)
- Verify that you logged on to the computer using the administrator account.
- Close all programs.
- Download the Kodak Easyshare software, then follow the on-screen instructions to install the application.
- To launch the software, select Start > Programs > Kodak > Kodak EasyShare > Kodak Easyshare software.
Limitations
While this app seems quite good at photo sharing, we found it limited as a photo manager. The range of tools is good but not spectacular and not better than other similar apps.
The program’s interface design is confusing and even a bit messy. Kodak Easyshare for PC also seemed to take up an excessive amount of PC resources, and as a result, could be sluggish and buggy.
You can use the application without actually having a Kodak account. However, you’ll find many places in the program where it encourages you to do so.
Not having an Easyshare account will, in any case, limit your use of the software, as you won’t be able to order printed copies of your photos or create projects.
