Kaspersky TDSSKiller is a free utility program from Kaspersky Lab that detects and removes rootkit infections. A rootkit is a form of malware designed to avoid detection and control systems. This software is intended to identify and remove rootkits from Windows PC.
The program is simple to use, with a primary interface that allows users to instantly scan their system for rootkits. TDSSKiller presents a list of all found threats when the scan is complete and allows the user to select which ones to eliminate. Apart from rootkits, the tool can identify and remove other malware such as viruses, worms, and Trojans.
TDSSKiller’s capacity to detect and remove the ZeroAccess rootkit is one of its key features. This rootkit is notorious for its ability to deactivate security software and exploit the infected system to generate fraudulent clicks on web adverts. TDSSKiller can also remove more complicated and sophisticated rootkits like TDL4 and TDL3. Because of their potential to infect the Master Boot Record (MBR) and other essential system components, these rootkits are difficult to detect and remove.
