Microsoft InfoPath for Windows enables the creation, distribution, completion, and submission of electronic forms to collect structured data. Both developers and advanced business users benefit from its ability to streamline corporate processes. Without writing any code, Microsoft InfoPath 2013 download can design intricate computerized forms that quickly and economically capture data. Developers can create complex forms, like workflow sequences and composite apps, for departmental and corporate business operations.

Microsoft InfoPath for Windows 10 supports 32-bit and 64-bit OC. Microsoft no longer offers a full version of Microsoft InfoPath 2010. You can either download the InfoPath as part of Microsoft Office 2013. Here at Softlay InfoPath 2013 is available as a standalone application for download on Windows 10.

The WYSIWYG form designer in InfoPath allows its users to link various elements (such as text boxes, radio buttons, and checkboxes) with data. The data is displayed in a hierarchical tree view of folders and data fields.

For the file to work as a Web browser form, it needs to be uploaded to a server running InfoPath Forms Services. Fields from the form can then be directly added to a SharePoint list or set up to be emailed after completion. InfoPath is used to create forms that take data and save it as a file on a PC or a web server when hosted on SharePoint.

InfoPath can gather and display data from a number of sources and has extensive interactive behaviors depending on Rules, Conditions, and Actions (web services, XML, databases, and other forms). InfoPath forms can be accessed on mobile devices if they are viewed through a browser (hosted on SharePoint) or by utilizing a third-party application.

Forms created in InfoPath can submit to libraries and lists in SharePoint. InfoPath Forms Services enables the hosting of browser-enabled InfoPath forms on a SharePoint installation and the rendering of those forms as HTML pages with post-back and client-side scripting capabilities similar to those of ASP.NET pages.

A document library with an InfoPath template as the selected document type is referred to as a “Form Library” in SharePoint. For data tables and secondary data sources, “Repeating Table” and other repeating controls are introduced. Custom controls can also be included as template parts and ActiveX controls in the designer.

The repository for all the data stored in InfoPath forms is known as the “data source.” A single primary data source must be present in the form template for data submission, and it is possible to have several secondary data sources for data retrieval. The cabinet file format and XSN file extension are used to store the files for the InfoPath form template.
