JourneyMap Mod creates a real-time map of your Minecraft world as you explore it. You can view this map in-game via the minimap, full-screen map, or even as a web map in your browser. When traveling long distances in Minecraft’s massive open world it is easy to lose track of your location, pets, friends, nearby villages, etc. This mod will help you with that by letting you keep track of everything.
JourneyMap Mod download is available on all three major mod loaders Forge, Fabric, and QuiltMC. It is a client-side mod so it doesn’t need to be installed on a server for you to use it in one. However, it can be installed on a server for real-time map updates and keeping player tracking.
Mod Features
- Real-time mapping: Maps your Minecraft world in real-time as you explore. This means that you can always see where you are and where you have been.
- Minimap: Includes a minimap that can be displayed in the corner of your screen. The minimap shows your current location, as well as the locations of nearby mobs, chests, and other features.
- Full-screen map: It can also be displayed as a full-screen map. This is useful for exploring large areas or for finding specific locations.
- Waypoints: Allows you to create waypoints, which are markers that can be placed on the map. Waypoints can be used to mark important locations, such as your base, a dungeon, or a resource deposit.
- Teleporting: You can teleport to anywhere on the map you’ve explored or to the waypoints you have set. (This feature requires cheats to be enabled, otherwise it won’t show in-game)
Mod Requirements
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
- Minecraft 1.20.2.
- You’ll need one of these mod loaders installed Forge, Fabric, or QuiltMC.
How to Download & Install JourneyMap Mod
Note: The Fabric version of the mod must be used for Quilt Mod Loader as there is no separate version for it.
It can be installed in a few steps just like any other Minecraft mod, take a look below:
Step 1: Get the JourneyMap mod download from the top of this page.
Step 2: Once the mod’s jar file is downloaded move it into the mods folder inside Minecraft’s installation folder. It can be found here: “Local Disk (C:) > Users > (Your PC Name) > AppData > Roaming > .minecraft > mods“.
Step 3: Once installed launch the game’s Forge, Fabric, or Quilt profile via the Minecraft Launcher and start using the mod.
How to Use JourneyMap
All the controls that are needed to use this mod in-game are shown in the pics below.
Note: All keys can be customized in Minecraft’s own settings. Just open the menu (by default, with the Esc key), click on Options > Controls > Key Binds and you’ll see two new categories at the bottom of the menu.
JourneyMap How to Teleport
Teleporting in Minecraft with this mod can be a bit tricky but worry not. If you’re playing the game in the single-player mode then make sure that certain JourneyMap teleport permissions are enabled. For single-player ensure the Cheats option is enabled. It can be found in the Open to LAN options menu by pressing Esc. If this option is disabled then the Teleport option won’t show up anywhere.
If you’re playing in a server then ask the server owner/admin to grant you operator privileges. Without the OP privileges, you won’t be able to teleport anywhere.
Once you have these permissions then teleporting is simple. Open the full-screen map by pressing J, Right-click on any area of the map you’ve explored, and click Teleport.
Another method to teleport is to set waypoints in-game, this can be done by pressing B to create a waypoint where you are currently. Waypoints can also be set anytime via the full-screen map of areas you’ve explored. After waypoints are set open the Waypoints Manager by pressing N and then clicking on Teleport next to the waypoint you want to.
