Blacktail is an adventure game based on the story of Yaga, the infamous Witch in the Woods that wears a Mask and lives in a Hut in the Dark Forest. The original story is from Slavic Mythology and players will get to play as Yaga and decide her deeds throughout the story. As an adventure game, there are many elements and mechanics in the game that Yaga will have to learn which will benefit her throughout the game. One of the main mechanics of the game is crafting through which Yaga can learn to craft the items of need.

How Crafting Works in Blacktail
Players who have played Farming or Simulation games will know about the general working of crafting. However, the Blacktail is an adventure-story game that also has general mechanics along with other things as well. As you play the game, you will get to learn the story of Yaga and come to know that she is the infamous Witch in the Woods, and her primary weapon is a Bow. The crafting will revolve around the things that she needs for her journey like Arrows for a bow or Antidotes for healing. All the items will require a certain number of materials that can be obtained from the Black Forest. If you run out of the items, you will not be able to find them as they are, but you will have to craft them. For example, if you run out of arrows, you will have to craft them. You will not find them anywhere in the Black Forest.
All the different arrows will require different resources. At the start, you will have normal arrows, which will require 2 Feathers and 1 Stick. In order to craft the arrow, open the quick inventory by pressing the TAB button and hovering the cursor on simple arrows. If you want to craft a single arrow then Left-Click on the arrow, if you want to craft the maximum number of arrows then Right-Click on the arrow. At the start, you will only be able to craft 9 arrows in total but later in the game, you will be able to increase the limit by upgrading a specific skill.
The players will not be needing any crafting station or a safe point to do the crafting. The game allows the quick crafting mechanic so players will find it relatively easier than other games that have crafting mechanics.
How to Gather Materials in Blacktail
From the start of the game, you can get different types of materials. The materials can be on the ground or intact with a surface, all you have to do is interact with them to collect them. You can interact with items by pressing the E button. You do want to explore the areas that you are going through to get all kinds of resources for your needs as well as for your skills. Because, skills are also made by using different types of materials, make sure to explore the areas and pick up all the items that you find.
