Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII – Reunion has a new combat system that revolves around many things like getting Status Buffs, enabling Limit Breaks, summoning an Ally, and even Leveling up Zack. The new system changes the remaster of Crisis Core to its original game and it will take some time for the players to get used to it. However, players can still get their character to level up early in the game.
In this guide, we’ll explain you how to level up Zack fast early in Crisis: Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion.
How leveling Up Works
Before we get into the detail of speeding up the leveling up of Zack, you do want to learn how Leveling up works in the remastered version of the game. As you play the game and encounter your first battle, you will be given a tutorial on a new DMW system. The DMW system is a fundamental aspect of the combat system which allows Zack to get different sorts of Buffs and other powers. However, the leveling of Zack is also based on the spinning slots of DMW.
Now, if you have gone through the tutorial, you will see different numbers and character portraits spinning on the left top side of the screen. The numbers and portraits will reward different buffs based on what numbers or portraits you get and even a Level Up bonus on getting specific matches on number slots. The number of slots that give you a Level Up Bonus is 7-7-7. 7 is a special number in the number slots and if you get all matching 7 numbers then you automatically get a Level Up bonus which will level you up according to the gathered EXP.
Now, the EXP you obtain by slaying the foes and the beasts is not shown anywhere. It will not lose and you can carry on playing the game and earning the EXP whenever you get the 7 matching numbers, you will upgrade to the corresponding level of the gathered EXP.
How to Speed Up Leveling
Now, for the players who have been thinking that how they can get more than 7 numbers, then it is all based on how much EXP they have earned. If you have earned a high amount of EXP, you will have more chances of getting the matching 7 number during the combat. To speed all that up, you can do the following techniques.
You can exponentially increase the EXP by leveling up different Materia. As there are five different levels to Materia, you can equip them and by doing the combat, you will level them up. You need to level up the following Materia to get an increase in EXP.
- Blast Wave
- Status Ward
- Hell Blizzaga
Along with these three Materia, you want to level up HP Up++ as high as you can because it will let you tank more damage.
You also want to equip the following Accessories to gain more EXP.
- Twisted Headband
- Jeweled Ring
- Mog’s Amulet
- Wizard Bracelet
You will get these accessories as you go through the main story of the game.
3. Replay Mission
You can also replay missions to engage with the enemies again in combat to regain EXP. One of the missions in which you will fight many enemies is Mission 1-1-6. This mission is unlocked in Chapter 10 after completing missions 1-1-2 to 1-1-5. When you have unlocked this chapter, you will be fighting 1,000 Shrina Troops. Killing each enemy will give you a ton of EXP and by clearing the stage you will have tons of Experience Points when you get the matching number of 7 in the next combat, you will be leveling up to a high level.
