One of the Items that players will get in the game by progressing through a certain point in the game is Lucky Egg. Lucky Egg is one of its kind and it is obtainable for the players who have obtained 5 Gym Badges.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how you can get the Lucky Egg in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Lucky Egg in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Lucky Egg is a Hand-Held item that can be claimed by the players from Professor Jacq. Professor Jacq is a Biology Teacher in the Academy and he will award players with a Lucky Egg after they have claimed 5 Gym Badges. Gym Badges are the main item that players will have to get in the Victory Road Path of the Story. Gym Badges are obtained by defeating the Gym Leaders in different Towns and Cities of Paldea.
There is no order to defeat the Gym Leaders and players can obtain any 5 out of the 8 Gym Badges to get the Lucky Egg. However, the preferable way to get the Badges are in the following order.
- Cortondo Gym (Bug Badge)
- Levincia Gym (Electric Badge)
- Artazon Gym (Grass Badge)
- Cascarrafa Gym (Water Badge)
- Medali Gym (Normal Badge)
All five of these Gyms can be completed easily due to their normal difficulty. Once players have obtained Five Gym Badges, they can claim the Lucky Egg in two ways.
- Talk to Professor Jacq at the Academy
- Go into the Sixth Gym Building
Talk to Professor Jacq at the Academy to Get Lucky Egg
After claiming the 5 Gym Badges, you will have to speak with Professor Jacq at the Academy in Mesagoza. Once you are in the Academy, you will have to interact with the computer at the reception and then you will be able to go inside the Biology Class. Talk to Professor Jacq and he will reward you with a Lucky Egg.
Go into the Sixth Gym Building
After claiming the 5 Gym Badges, you can head simply into the next Gym Building in another town or city to get the Lucky Egg. When you go inside the next Gym Building, you will get to meet Professor Jacq in a cutscene and he will give you the Lucky Egg.
However, you can only get one Lucky Egg in the game so you can get it either by going back to the Academy or going to the next gym building.
Use of Lucky Egg in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Lucky Egg is a Holding Item that can be given to any Pokémon. The Pokémon who is holding the Lucky Egg will get double the amount of EXP from defeating the Pokémon. It is mainly used to give buff in the EXP for a single Pokémon so, if you want to level up a Pokémon more quickly, you should get Lucky Egg and hand the Lucky Egg to that Pokémon to get more EXP.
Fighting the Poke Trainer, Gym Leaders, Titans, and Tera Raid Battles will give a great amount of EXP, and with the Lucky Egg equipped, your Pokémon will get the double amount of that EXP.
