Pokémon scarlet and Violet will allow players to adventure through the Pladea region where players will get to defeat different Gym Leaders and Titans to claim the badges. Claiming the badges is the primary way to progress in the game and as you progress, you will unlock different abilities for your mount. Players can unlock the Climb Ability for their Mount by defeating the False Dragon Titan Pokémon which can be found on the Northwest side of the Paldea Region on one of the Casseroya Lake Islands.

Why Climb Ability is Important
False Dragon Titan is one of the Titan Pokémon that players will have to defeat at some point in the game if they want to complete the story. However, it is advised to defeat this Titan as early as possible to unlock the Climb ability for your Mount. Unlocking this ability will let you go to places that are high like Mountains. Players will be able to climb any rock or mountain in the game which is very useful to get to certain places more quickly. As there are many items placed on mountains, players will be able to get them with this ability.
How to Get to False Dragon Titan – Location
False Dragon Titan can be found on the Northwest side of the Paldea Region and it is ranked number 15 on the world map. The ranking is according to the easiest to hardest enemies and it is number 15 which means you can defeat it in the end-game but if you got to catch a high-level Pokémon in the mid-game then you will be able to defeat it. The location of False Dragon Titan is in the Northwest and it can be found on the right-most Island of Casseroya Lake. The location is the same for both, Scarlet and Violet versions of the game.
However, getting to the Island is not possible without the Swimming Ability of your Mount so, make sure that you have obtained the Swimming ability as well as the Flying/Gliding ability. These abilities will make it easier for you to reach the Island. When you get to the Island of Casseroya Island, you will have to go to the edge of the Island and a cutscene will play in which you will get to see Dondozo, the False Dragon Titan.
How to Unlock Climb Ability for Mount in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Once you have made your way to Dondozo, you need to defeat it with your top Pokémon. Dondozo will fight you two times so, you will have to fight it two times in order to completely defeat it. You need to faint Dragon Titan both times. Meaning, you have to deplete its HP both times. Once you have fainted Dondozo, you will get to fight another Pokémon named “Tatsugiri” who is also a False Dragon Titan. However, this Pokémon is very small so you will deal more damage to it and defeat it in a couple of hits.
Once you have defeated Dondozo and Tatsugiri in the Battle, you will claim the Dragon Badge and you will find a Herba Mystica from which your mount will get the ability to Climb on the rocks and mountains. To climb the rock or mountain, go near any wall and then press the B button to start climbing the surface. You can also latch onto the surface while flying. If you are flying close to high ground and if you get close to the surface and press B, the mount will latch onto the surface and you will start climbing.
